WPTL is operated by Skycountry Broadcasting Inc.
We are a locally owned radio station, Part of this
community and not part of any outside chain of
businesses. Our owners, Bill and Linda Reck, have
been working with WPTL and the area since 1978,
And the station goes all the way back to 1963,
Licensed to Canton North Carolina in Haywood
County and serving the area with 500 Watts daytime
and a post-sunset-authority for reduced power
broadcasting at night.
Over the
year's WPTL received many awards for public
service and commercial broadcasting success.
